Summer is a great season for blockbusters and we’re wondering which movies to see next. Since it’s right around the corner, we’re giving you an advanced screening of our picks for what the most promising flicks of the summer.
Entourage. This is high on our list, partly because we’ll get to see Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) as a successful entrepreneur, heading a vaporizer startup. Welcome to the biz, Turtle! It will be interesting to do a reality check on his gig. But even apart from that, we’ve been waiting quite a while to see Vince (Adrian Grenier) and the Entourage gang together again. (June 5)
The Avengers: Age of Ultron. We’re itching to see Robert Downey Jr. return in his role as Iron Man. Some among us even go so far as to call The Avengers the best superhero film of all time. This sequel takes on evil artificial intelligence, a timely, techie topic that’s always up our alley. (May 1)
Pitch Perfect 2. We’re not ashamed to say that some of us have a crush on Beca (Anna Kendrick) and we’re looking forward to seeing her and her a capella group, seniors at Barden University, enter an international competition. Hilarity is sure to follow. (May 15)
Jurassic World. It’s 22 years after the marvels and disasters of the last version of Jurassic Park, and a new attraction is up and running, of course. And of course, something goes wrong. What more is there to say here, except that velociraptors are still pretty scary-cool. (June 12)
Ant-Man. OK, so we’re suckers for summer films in which someone tries to save the world. Paul Rudd has the ability to shrink in size but grow in power as Ant-Man, a favorite Marvel Comics character. (July 17).
