how to charge an electronic cigarette v2 cigsWith every device that uses electricity, it’s important to follow the rules. This goes for your V2 electronic cigarette or vaporizer, as well as every other kind of gadget that runs on electrical power. Learning about the basic safety practices of electricity is essential to becoming a seasoned vaper. Depending on what device you are using, it can be very simple or may require a few minutes of technical manual instructions in order to master the correct usage of your electronic cigarette or vapor device. Either way, we want to make sure you are prepared and exercise a reasonable amount of caution at all times.

We offer a variety of vapor products that require different levels of technical safety knowledge. For example, the V2 Disposable electronic cigarette is our simplest product to use and requires almost zero technical skills since it comes fully charged and cannot be taken apart. Once the e-liquid inside the cartridge of a disposable is gone, it’s simply discarded. On the other end of the spectrum, the V2 Pro Series 7 not only needs to be charged, it can be used while it’s charging. In addition to that, the Series 7 requires and a fair amount of technical skill to use the right heating setting for each of the three mediums that can be vaped in it. Whether you’ve just purchased your first electronic cigarette or you’re a veteran who’s upgrading to larger device, there’s no such thing as being too informed. That’s why we put together a short list of charging do’s & don’ts!

Always charge V2 devices with V2 chargers – In order to keep your device functioning properly and prolong its longevity, it is incredibly important to only use V2 chargers and adapters. Although your iPhone wall adaptor may fit, it’s voltage output is different than our charges. Using it to charge your device could damage your electronic cigarette battery or worse.

Don’t leave your electronic cigarette on the charger over night – Make sure to monitor your electronic cigarette or V2 Pro pen when it is charging. Constantly keeping it on the charger can lead to technical issues and reduce the life of the battery in your device.

Keep out of reach of children and pets – You do not want a child or pet to consume any e-liquid or misuse the electrical components of an electronic cigarette or vapor device. In an effort to ensure their safety, make sure to securely store all your vapor items in a place that is only accessible to you. Some vapers make customized vape boxes and put a lock on them. Many store their electronic cigarette products on a high shelf where kids and pets can’t reach. There are many ways to keep your vapor products safe; just make sure you don’t leave them somewhere that could endanger others.

NEVER modify any V2 or V2 Pro devices – Not only will this void the warranty that we offer on all V2 electrical components, it may result in a situation where you break your device or harm yourself.

Read your user manual – This will help you become familiar with how your V2 or V2 Pro electrical device works and should be used. This is a simple proactive step you can take to prevent any accidents when charging your electronic cigarette or vaporizer. The user manual will tell you how long it takes to charge your batteries, enabling you to have the best experience possible when using your e-cigarette.

Hello, I’m not sure if I’m supposed to turn it off while charging it but I can’t get a full battery. I have the p11 and I’ve bought two batteries for it. The first battery lasted three weeks. Now my brand new one won’t charge fully. I’m so disappointed because I’ve spent so much money while I’ve been vaping and either I have bad luck or I don’t understand how to properly use it.

The highest my battery power will go is up to half. Do you have suggestions? Do I put it in power mode, off, or leave it on?

Is it okay to keep the V2 Pro Series 3 charged up I personally like to keep it charged so in other words so do you have to let it go all the way down before you charge it. I did accidentally leave it on the charger all night one time and it charged back up fine and doesn’t seem to be damaged but I haven’t done it again. I always watch it now as soon as it turns green I take it off. If you don’t have time to charge it all the way till it turns green is that okay?

My kit did not include a user’s manual, safety instructions, charging instructions, nothing! I emailed and was instructed to go to the website. That has been a piece meal process and I am not a happy customer.

My v2 ex pen is not charging at all i left it on the charger and nothing and it didnt come with its own adapter so i do use an Android charger im so upset

Hi there! It’s very important to only use V2 chargers with your V2 batteries; using a non-manufacturer charger may destroy your battery or worse. The EX Batteries do not come with a wall adapter, so you need to purchase one separately if you wish to charge your battery that way. If you bought your EX Battery from our online store, it is likely covered by our warranty. Please call customer service and they can assist you with additional trouble-shooting or obtaining a replacement. They may be reached toll-free at 877-378-2767.

  5. Dan says:

Apple’s chargers use the industry standard voltage, so what voltage are you using instead?

  6. Joe says:

So, can you let the v2 pro series 7 charge overnight or is this discouraged. I’ve seen that this is a bad idea, but then I also read the following on v2’s own website. Wouldn’t the incorporated smart features negate any negative effects of leaving the unit plugged in over night? Seems to imply this…

“How do I know my battery is charging?
Your battery is charging when the LED turns red. When your battery is fully charged it turns to blue. With a sophisticated internal chip, the V2 Smart and Express Chargers charge your battery twice as fast! Incorporated smart features mean you never have to worry about overcharging!”

    • V2 says:

Any rechargeable electronic device will have its battery weakened if you leave it on the charger all the time. But the Series7 is designed to make this type of use less impactful.
