The Best Dry Herb Vaporizer: V2 Pro vs PAX

Back when the V2 team was doing the initial research and development to create and bring a large vaporizer to the market, we looked at all of the qualities that many vape pens offered, and aimed to put all of those capabilities into one sleek vapor device.

Fast-forward to the present and the V2 Pro vaporizer line is thriving, with customers around the world enjoying its superior quality, unique design and serious vapor production. We initially started the V2 Pro line in early 2014 with the V2 Pro Series 3, which we believed was the perfect personal vaporizer for the V2 electronic cigarette customer interested in graduating to a larger device. Priced at just $59.99, the Series 3 is larger than a traditional e-cigarette but sleek and big enough to carry a significant amount of e-liquid (1.6 ML) to allow vapers to make it through a long day while at work or an event. This device was the first to offer our innovative 3-in-1 technology, permitting customers to use an e-liquid, loose leaf or wax cartridge to vape e-liquid, herb or wax materials. Many vapor experts have compared the Series 3 to the eGo and we would agree, but add that the Series 3 offers even more functionalities for a lower price! The Series 3’s intuitive design requires minimal technical skill with magnetic charging cable and cartridges all while being large enough for heavy duty vapers but light enough to carry on-the-go.

We followed Series 3 with the launch of V2 Pro Series 7, which was one of our most exciting moments yet. This vaporizer is a 3-in-1 device that can also be used with three different cartridges to vape three different substances. But it’s the customization options that really make the Series 7 stand out above the Series 3.

When designing the Series 7, we knew we wanted it to set the dry herb vaporizer standard. We closely studied the popular PAX vaporizer and knew we could offer a better experience, starting with more features and for a lower price. Much like the PAX pen, the V2 Pro Series 7 offers variable temperature settings, enabling vape enthusiast to select the right temperature for the material they’re vaping. Both products offer magnetic lids, long lasting battery efficiency and hold about the same amount of material needed for vaping all day long.

The biggest problem with PAX is maintenance. The cartridge-less design of PAX means it gets clogged very easily. Another downside? When PAX gets clogged, it won’t work at all. And you can’t clean it with anything you have laying around the house; PAX sells a special cleaning kit that you have to purchase separately. Without the cleaning kit, you won’t get more than a handful of uses from your PAX vaporizer. For a single-medium device with a high price tag, we saw this as a huge downside to an otherwise adequate vaporizer. So we made the V2 Pro line maintenance-free.

With cartridges for each medium, using your V2 Pro Series 7 is truly effortless. Feel like switching from herb to wax? Just slide out your dry leaf cartridge and replace it with a wax one. This feature is just as convenient when you’re talking about a single medium. Where PAX has to be cleaned regularly to be used, Series 7 requires basically zero cleaning. If your dry herb cartridge starts to get clogged, simply dispose of it and drop in a fresh one. You can’t beat the benefits of a cartridge that is both reusable and disposable.

Finally the Series 7 variable voltage (3.7, 4.2 and 4.7V) gives this device the extra kick it needs to stand out in a market of mediocre vape pens. With 2.5 ML of e-liquid, herb or wax and 1800mAh, we believe this powerful device is the Apple version of personal vaporizers when compared to the competition. 1. I need honest information. Every store I go to they state how PAX is by far much better than any other vaporizers. However, it’s a business and I’m sure the profit for a PAX would be much greater for the owner of the store.
I’m 62 and am unemployed and forking out $300 for a PAX seems to be like I’m just paying for a Rolls when a Honda works better. I could care less how it looks but to be easy to use and clean and won’t cost additional $ down the line.
Because I was in a coma for 28 days which had caused hundreds of seizures for the last 42 years. Please give me a good reason why I should get a Series 7. Thanks
