Things Non-Vapers Get Wrong About ECigs

misconceptions about ecigs v2 cigsThere’s nothing worst than when a Facebook friend of co-worker, who has never used ecigs, tries to inform you about all the bad things that your vapor product does. The Internet is a great thing because of how fast it connects people and information with each other, but the downside is that is leaves a lot of room for misinformation to be shared as the truth. Most V2 vapers have dealt with this in one way or another. And with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) publicizing anti-electronic cigarette information through social media and the mainstream media, it makes sense why so many non-vapers get a lot of basic vaping information about ecigs wrong.

In an effort to help you educate your non-vaping friends, we have come up with a list of points that many non-vapers get wrong about ecigs and the vapor industry. Our theory is if we want to change the way people view ecigs and the vapor industry, it’s up to us as a business (as well as our loyal customers) to do everything we can collectively to help spread accurate information.

Advanced Personal Vaporizers and ecigs are not the same thing. The majority of people have seen and vaguely understand what an electronic cigarette is, but many of them have no clue that there are a variety of vapor devices to choose from. The most common vapor device is the standard e-cigarette, which is thin and looks and feels just like a traditional tobacco cigarette. Advanced personal vaporizers (AVP’s) or vape pens are what most people see other’s vaping out in public—they are much larger devices that are becoming extremely popular because of their durability, liquid tank capacity and vapor production power. Although they both produce vapor, they differ widely. With the increasing popularity of AVP’s, we introduced the V2 Pro line vaporizers featuring the Series 3 and Series 7. At V2, we are dedicated to catering to everyone regardless of his or her vaping preferences.

You have to be of legal smoking age to buy vapor products. Although FDA regulation has not made this federal law yet, 99% of vapor businesses only sell to adults of legal smoking age. Whether you purchase your ecig and vapor products online or in a retail store, photo ID is required. For online purchases, ID verification through unique software enables businesses like ours to verify a customer’s age by their debit or credit card information. The industry as a whole is proactively self-regulating because it’s the right thing to do. In addition, unlike other industries, we do not market to minors either. We do minimal paid advertising and marketing and the initiatives we do offer are online and are intended for adults only.

It’s Vapor, Not Smoke. Unlike traditional tobacco cigarettes, ecigs and larger vaporizers produce zero smoke; instead they produce vapor that has little to no smell, which evaporates within seconds. Second-hand vapor has yet to be confirmed as a credible thing. So when non-vapers see people enjoying ecigs near them, don’t worry! It’s just vapor and is not exposing you to nearly the same amount of chemicals as second-hand smoke.

E-Liquid Ingredients Are Clearly Listed. At V2, we pride ourselves on listing all of our e-liquid ingredients and providing batch reports for all e-liquid batches. The main ingredients are food flavoring, nicotine, propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. We have even dedicated a few blog posts to our e-liquid ingredients so people understand why each ingredient is used and what other household products these elements are also commonly found in. All e-liquid ingredients are FDA approved and deemed appropriate for human consumption, especially in the small quantities that they are consumed in via ecigs and vapor devices.

Most Vapor Companies Offer 0% E-Liquid. E-liquids not only come in a variety of flavors, but they also come in a variety of nicotine strengths. At V2, we sell 0%, 0.6%, 1.2%, 1.8% and 2.4% nicotine strengths. A large chunk of our international customer base vapes low or zero nicotine strengths, which means that many of them are simply vaping for the flavor or because the motions of vaping is habitual. We offer five different nicotine strengths so new vapers can start out high and reduce their levels over time, and even cut out nicotine altogether if they want to. Our products offer these various options because we have found that this is what truly works for people. One interesting trend that we have found amongst our vapor community is that many people vape a sweet flavor when they have a craving for a sweet treat. Skip the calories and sugar and opt for a vapor session of sweet V2 Vanilla Platinum E-Liquid!
