ecigarette to quit smoking in 2016 at v2.comWe’re almost three weeks into the New Year and that means it’s time to take a minute to assess the progress of our 2016 New Year’s ecigarette resolutions! According to the Statistic Brain Research Center, 45 percent of Americans make New Year resolutions every year. A new reboot on the annual calendar is a great time to see what you’ve achieved and what you need to improve. Among American’s New Year resolutions, the most popular ones are losing weight, eating healthier, learning a new language, working out consistently and quitting smoking.

If you aren’t having the best results so far when it comes to your 2016 resolutions, don’t fret! We’ve got a list of ways to achieve and stick to your goals this year:

Use The S.M.A.R.T. Method – Once you have made your resolutions, you have to be strategic. What does this mean? The SMART acronym stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-specific. You need to find a notebook to track your progress whether it is an eating food log, a workout log, a to-do list for the next month, or a system for tracking your ecigarette use.

Choose a realistic number of new goals – If you choose five or less new resolutions to stick to this year, you are much more likely to successfully focus your energy and efforts to achieving those goals. If you decide to go after 10 or 20 resolutions, you won’t able to focus and you’ll end up spreading yourself too thin. Focus on realistic and attainable goals like jogging three times a week or choosing an ecigarette instead of tobacco a set number of times per day.

Make it public – There are two primary ways to make yourself accountable when it comes to your resolutions, ecigarette or otherwise: you can make it public or known to friends and family, either on social media or via text/call. You could also find a friend that wants to work on the same things as you and make each other your accountability partners. If you have someone to workout with every day, you will be more inclined not to miss that workout session!

Keep a positive attitude – Your mental state and attitude about progressive change and achieving new goals is essential to you succeeding! Write yourself little positive affirmations and post them around your home to help your mind keep focused on positive thinking. The more positively you think, the more likely you are to feel motivated to achieve your goals! This one is particularly important when it comes to your ecigarette resolutions.

Keep a good support group around you – A part of being positive requires keeping a good support system around you. Whether that is your family, one or two friends, or the online V2 ecigarette Forum, connect with people that have similar goals and interests as you. Talk to them regularly and you can help each other stay focused, inspired and strategic on your way to bettering yourselves!
